Sometimes it seems like your world is caving in all around you and no matter where you turn you can’t seem to get away from the problems that keep coming your way.
Life can be difficult at times but the storm will pass. The sun will rise in the morning and a brand new day will begin. Jesus is there to calm our fears and keep us safe no matter how rough the waters become.
When we put our trust in HIM we will survive the raging storms of life. And we will even become stronger because it is the storms in life that bring us to the cross. They make us realize just how weak and vulnerable we really are. Without troubles and sorrows how would we even begin to understand how much we need Jesus? Pain, heartache and disappointments are part of this life. We can’t escape them. Friendships come and go, loved ones pass away and tragedy strikes when we least expect it but there is good news. This world…… this life…… is not all there is. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ you have heaven to look forward to. A magnificent place where the streets are paved in gold; a place where there is no sorrow, no sickness and no tears.
So when the storms of life rage and you are overwhelmed by feelings of anger, fear or grief just remember we have a God who understands. All we have to do is turn to Him and He will accept us into His loving arms and give us the comfort we so desperately need.
When the disciples saw Him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost” they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Matthew 14:26-27
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:3
For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 2 Corinthians 1:5
