Pure Love

Yesterday was my grandsons ninth birthday (his fifth since the accident).  I have to say it was wonderful to see all the children gathered there to help celebrate, especially a little girl named Sarah.  She is his “girlfriend.”  This little girl showed such compassion for Jason.  She fed him and talked with him and played with him for the entire party.  It was obvious she cares for him deeply and that the feeling was mutual.

Why do we lose that child like quality that allows us to accept people for who they are and love them for who they are?  When we grow up that innocent way of looking at another person gets skewed by life’s experiences.  I guess you could say “life gets in the way.”  Sarah showed me how Jesus must love us.  Her acceptance of Jason was just so pure and wonderful.  It’s hard to imagine a love like that and yet there it was right in front of me.  I pray that the love of God will continue to shine through these two beautiful children.

As children of God it is up to us to show the world the love of God through our words and our actions.  God showed us His love through this 9 year old little girl in such a tender way.  How can He show His love through you and me????

Scripture

This is My command: Love each other.   John 15:17

And now these three things remain: faith, hope and love.  But the greatest of these is love.                        1 Corinthians 13:13

Love is patient, love is kind. It doesn’t not envy, it does not boast.  It is not proud.  1 Corinthians 13:4

We Are A Christian Nation!!!

For most American’s September 11th is a day filled with many different emotions:  Fear, sorrow, unbelief, confusion and for some even hate for those who could commit such an evil act.  America was under attack and it would soon be apparent by whom and for what reason.  We are hated by the extreme radical Muslims because of our Christian faith and therefore deserving of death.  I don’t understand a religion that kills innocents in the name of that religion.  To me this is not a religion of peace but a religion of hate.

I am proud to be an American and I would die to protect our way of life for our children and grand children.  Growing up I was taught to honor our military and the American flag.  We put our hand over our heart and said the pledge of allegiance each day in school and a prayer was given over the loud speaker.  Heaven forbid we do that now.  Now, at a time when we need it most!

Christians in America and all over the world are being attacked simply for one reason; we are followers of Jesus Christ, the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings.  We believe He is coming back to take His church home and when He does we will rule and reign with Him.  This is deserving of death?  In the world we now live in, unfortunately, the answer is “yes”.  Satan has a strong hold and he’s not letting go.

Our world as we knew it changed right before our eyes on that fateful day.  On September 12th we had record attendance in our churches and synagogues.  We turned to our faith to get us through one of the most horrific events most of us will ever live through.  Now ten years later we slumber again.  What happened to that re-commitment to God, family and Country?  Why isn’t the church standing up for what we believe?  Why are we still allowing Satan to rule?  The church (us) has to start standing up for our faith.  We cannot continue to back down and give into secular demands that we not pray in public, in school or at work and we must not say the name of Jesus Christ out loud!  We are a Christian Nation.  We will always be a Christian Nation.  It’s time we started acting like one!

Scripture

If My people who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.  1 Chronicles 7:14    AMEN!
